COVID19 PROTOCOLS:
ALL students have their own equipment or have equipment assigned to them.
By the nature of fencing, athletes should keep arm's length away from each other,
making fencing a COVID19 safer sports in which to participate.
Age is but a number.
Fencing is for Everyone who is looking for a fun challenge.
If you can walk, you can fence.
And, if you can't walk, you can do wheelchair fencing.
So, Yes, it's for everyone who wants to try!
Fencing is a parable for Life:
There is always someone out to get you. It's a matter of wisdom to know whether you should deal with them more offensively or defensively.
Fencing teaches this insight and wisdom.
Fencing is considered one of the SAFEST Olympic sports according to the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA).
Fencing is considered an 'Athletic Chess.
For every move there's a counter move.
There are studies that suggest that fencing can stave off the onset of Alzheimer's. Why? Because fencing uses our brain as much as your body.

Day 2 at CSU. Matt may be an undergrad at CSU, but the comradery continues with old teammates.
Max fenced well, considering he competed the day before w/ a 3rd pl finish. He placed 11 at CSU.
Ricky (not shown) was not going to be outdone by the youngster and finished 10.
Meanwhile, Nigel was showing how he's looking for those college student's lames. He would finish 3rd.
Jonah hit his First saber tournament today. He had a victory in his pool and won his first DE, ever in a sanctioned event
Liam had a decent showing in the pools, but truly shined in his DE round of 16 against one of the CSU fencers who beat him in the pools 5-0 with a 15-14 nail-biting win to place 8th. This result confirmed his E24.
Meanwhile Ben swept his pool, won his first DE, lost his second to finish 5th resulting in his updating his E rating.
Busy first weekend of competition. While the saberist fenced at CSU, Max attended an E and under event.
Max won his pool. Won his first De before losing in the round of 4 to finish up 3rd over all. Tomorrow he's off to CSU with some of the other foilists.
Many of our fencers got a taste of National level competition for the first time. Events ranging from Y10 to Vet 60 in all weapons. Coach Ben shows off his Direct Elimination (DE) slip victory with Coach Sara and the rest of the saber squad: Nathan who we 'adopted' from IN and Liam.
Declan may only be a Y10 Men's Epeeist, but he has no qualms letting Coach Sara know who's taller.
